RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and Build the infrastructure and functionality of a large scale web applications product.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/MS CS or Engineering
2+ years of Java and web development experience a must
2+ years of database development
Java (especially JSPs and servlets)
HTML
Javascript
Entity/relational modelling
Apache Webserver, Oracle Workflow and Oracle Applications a plus.

We build an award-winning product for doing ad hoc query, reporting and multidimensional analysis. Ease-of-use is its strongest feature. Our customers are typically managers who are unfamiliar with database schemas and technology. We have adopted a highly user-centered design process, resulting in a product that anyone can use to retrieve and analyze data.

You will be a part of Discoverer's development team, which produced the award-winning user interface for Discoverer for Windows. Our team is now focused on producing and advancing Discoverer's web products, which consist of a query building and analysis tool(implemented as a Java applet), and a light client viewer component consisting of HTML pages generated from a servlet. You will play a key role in all phases of new feature development, including requirements gathering, functional and user interface specification, technical design, coding and unit testing, as well as reviewing test plans and documentation, and project planning.

This is an exciting opportunity to solve challenging technical problems while working with the latest technologies: distributed
computing, CORBA, Java, XML, and Servlets as well as gain experience developing products for the rapidly-growing Business Intelligence market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be a part of the client development team, which
produced the award-winning user interface for Discoverer for Windows and the successful Java applet for our Web product.
You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the product for the web, and be involved in all phases of new feature development, including requirements gathering, functional and user interface specification, technical design, coding and unit testing, as well as reviewing test plans and documentation, and project planning. You will also be expected to help shape the direction of the product from a technical perspective.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 5 industry experience with:
Outstanding object oriented user interface design and programming skills required, using Java, Swing and related technologies.
Strong object oriented architecture and design skills
Experience with HTML, XML, XSL, C++, MFC is highly desirable.
Experience with Business Intelligence/DSS products and relational databases is also desirable.
Self-motivated
Ability to work well under pressure
Good team player
